What We Offer
Blood Draws & Specimen Collection
Our team is skilled in phlebotomy for patients of all ages and provides clear instructions for non-blood specimen collection.
Comprehensive Testing
We offer a wide range of commonly ordered panels, including blood counts, metabolic panels, and liver and kidney function testing.
Microbiology & Cultures
We perform testing to identify bacterial, viral, and fungal infections, supporting timely and accurate treatment.
Specialty & Send-Out Testing
Access advanced diagnostic tests through our trusted reference laboratory partners.
STAT Lab for Emergencies
Available 24/7 to support the Emergency Department and inpatient care needs.
DOT/Non-DOT Drug Screening
Available by appointment only. Call (970) 463-6181 to schedule. Please bring a paper chain-of-custody form.
Note: Breath Alcohol Testing is not offered.

Lab service details
Lab hours may vary on holidays or based on staffing. Please call ahead if you have questions about what to bring, whether an appointment is needed, or whether a provider order is required.
Before Your Visit
Bring ID, insurance card, and provider order (if provider ordered outside of SCHC). Arrive 10-15 minutes early.
Fasting Labs
No food 8-12 hours before. Water is encouraged.
Routine Blood Draw
Drink water the day before and day of for easier draw.
Drug Screening
Appointment required. Bring chain-of-custody form. No e-screen or e-passports allowed in place of chain-of-custody form.
Outside Provider Orders
Bring signed order with patient diagnosis.
Insurance & Cost
We accept Medicare, Medicaid, CO/NE commercial plans, and self-pay. Financial assistance available.
