Referrals & Next Steps

Sometimes your provider may recommend seeing a specialist or getting additional services after your visit. This is called a referral.

What to expect:

  • Our team may send the referral for you, or you may be asked to schedule it yourself
  • You may receive a call, portal message, or paperwork with instructions
  • Some referrals require insurance approval before scheduling

What you should do:

  • Check your patient portal for updates
  • Schedule your appointment as soon as possible
  • Contact us if you haven’t heard anything within a few days
